Corset Sizing
Make sure to measure yourself 2 to 3 times before ordering a corset to be certain you are ordering the correct size!
You will need to measure these specific areas.
- Fullest part of your bust.
- Your ribcage directly underneath your breasts.
- The smallest part of your waist (Under your ribcage and above your hipbones).
- Your hips at the underwear line, basically where you wear your pants.
- The fullest part of your hips and butt.
Corsets are normally ordered 2-6 inches under your natural waist size, depending upon personal preference. For instance, if your natural waist size is 32”, you would order a corset with a waist measurement between 26”-30”.
A good rule of thumb:
- If your waist is 26” or smaller, order a corset 2” under your natural waist size.
- If your waist is 32” or smaller, order a corset 4” under your natural waist size.
- If your waist is 34” or larger, order a corset 6” under your natural waist size.
By ordering the corset on the small side, you have the option to partially close the back for a more relaxed fit, or fully close the back for a more dramatic effect.
If you are trying to train your waist, make sure to order a corset with spiral or flat steel boning. Some of our corsets have rigilene boning, which is used for a more casual corset experience and is not intended for serious corset training.
Your corset should not close easily on the first try. If it does, it is probably too large! As your body becomes accustomed to the corset shape, and your corset becomes accustomed to your body shape, the corset will start to fit much better.
If you are still a bit unsure of your sizing, feel free to contact us! We will be happy to explain the measurement process and help you pick the perfect size.
